Jun 22, 2022 · For each pound of beef (4 burgers), you’ll need: 1 lb ground beef. 1 egg. 2 tsp seasoning salt. 1 tsp onion powder. 1 tsp garlic powder. If I’m making 8 burgers, I’ll double the recipe and use 1 lb lean ground beef (maximum fat content 17%) and 1 lb medium ground bee (maximum content 23%). This will make for a perfectly juicy burger.Method. Wrap each piece of beef tightly in a triple layer of cling film to set its shape, then chill overnight. Remove the cling film, then quickly sear the beef fillets in a hot pan with a little olive oil for 30-60 seconds until browned all over and rare in the middle. Remove from the pan and leave to cool.
